Complete rebuild for the Schmerzhilfe & Yoga studio in Frechen — out of a US site builder with 22.5 MB pages and 51-second load times, into a custom web app with an integrated CMS. The owner now maintains schedule, team and events himself, bookings run through Eversports, and hosting is EU-only.
The Goal.
Free a studio from its dependency on a site-builder platform and agency: a fast, legally sound website the owner actually owns and can maintain without a developer.
What we built.
Custom Build
Next.js with integrated Payload CMS and PostgreSQL — code, data and domain belong to the studio, no more vendor lock-in.
Design System
Brand colors and typography defined once, 20+ pages from the same components — down to verified color contrast (Accessibility 100).
Performance
0.33 MB instead of 22.5 MB, LCP of 2.2 s instead of a 51 s download — PageSpeed 99/100/100/100 on the live domain.
CMS for the Owner
Classes, instructors, events, retreats and pricing are maintained by the owner in the admin panel — new content shows up automatically with schema and sitemap.
SEO Rescue
All 17 legacy URLs 301-redirected to their successors, LocalBusiness/Event/FAQ schema, consistent NAP data — the old site had no markup at all.
GDPR & Health Law
EU hosting, self-hosted fonts, click-to-load for widgets — and all copy written against the German health advertising law.
Booking & Newsletter
Eversports for classes and payments, Brevo with double opt-in and a DKIM-authenticated domain.
Hosting & Auto-Deploy
Hetzner Cloud with automatic SSL, daily backups and auto-deploys from the Git repository.
